This Awesome Food Photography issue is going to be a bit different. Instead of curating gorgeous food images of all kind, I decided to create a special edition consisted of diptych photographs only.

Diptychs are a brilliant tool for photographic storytelling. They present two images which can be from the same session or they can be polar opposites to show opposition or contrasting ideas.

One frame shot with wide lens, the other one with tele lens. Or a complete meal on one side, main ingredient on another. Perfect cup of coffee with latté art on left side, barista making it on right.

Diptychs, when properly used, can tell a much deeper story than one picture itself. It’s only up to you how you gonna use this technique.
